Hello!

I sincerely hope this finds you well.

It is hard to believe that I have been practicing law since 1984 -- over 40 years!!! I love the practice of law which I consider to be an honor and a privilege. I intend to continue for so long as I am able to provide the highest quality of care and service.

I want to sincerely thank you for your kindness and consideration and to express my gratitude for the confidence and trust that my clients and referrals have placed in me.

If you have reviewed my biographical information, then you know that I have received tremendous recognition over the years. One highlight was a unanimous nomination by the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers and unanimous selection by the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court’s Professionalism Committee for a first-ever Professionalism Award! The nomination criteria included, "an attorney who has consistently demonstrated honesty, integrity, fairness, courtesy,...and who has earned the highest respect among local lawyers and judges for his or her commitment to professionalism."   As it was the first, I didn't even know I was being considered for the award.

The committee chose to surprised me with the award announcement in a room filled with around 500 lawyers and judges.
The theme was Star Wars and they gave me my own lightsaber. The picture from the event and the presentation video can be viewed in the Bliss section of this website. I was totally overwhelm, to say the least!

This year I was honored to receive the First Mentor Award from the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar. I love mentoring and have always just worked it into my life. It brings bright people into my world and leads to beautiful lifelong friendships. This award was different as I was notified that I was being nominated.

I have to credit my son, Barrett, for his idea to ask my mentees and others to support my nomination.  Within a few short days, I received almost 50 letters and emails which brought me to tears of joy. Katherine Yanes wrote a beautiful nomination letter on behalf of the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers.  Her letter and those supporting letters and emails can be viewed in the Award Support section of this website. I was honored to receive the award at a gala event held at the Swan Resort in Disney. I danced all night. It was just so much fun.  More importantly, I can't imagine anything in my career which will mean more to me than those heart-felt expressions of love which I received from my mentees, clients and friends in support of the mentor award.  I am so grateful, beyond words.

I love being an attorney. My clients are wonderful human beings from whom I have learned so much. It is always an honor to serve them. I also love being a mentor for my amazing protégé in whose hands we place our future. God has blessed my life and my career for which I am bursting with gratitude. I thank you all for being a part of my wonderful world.

It would be my pleasure to help you in any way I could in the future, so please feel free let me know if an opportunity ever presents itself.  Please accept my warmest wishes to you and yours for all the best!
